Women's
Studies Program
Welcome to the Women's
Studies Program at MTSU. We offer an 18 hour interdisciplinary
minor with tracks in Women’s Studies and Gender Studies. We
provide an annual Outstanding Women’s Studies Minor scholarship,
give periodic student awards for excellence in research and
activism, and offer small travel grants to assist our minors in
their scholarly and activist pursuits.
We also house a library
of more than 1000 volumes in the field of Women’s Studies,
available for check out by all MTSU students, faculty, and
staff.
In addition, we
coordinate a biennial conference in Women’s Studies, assist with
National Women’s History Month efforts, co-sponsor events with
many programs and offices on campus, and present the Ayne
Cantrell Award for outstanding service to the Women’s Studies
Program.
For more information,
browse our site, stop by our office, call, or email. We will be
happy to provide you with a program brochure and the current
semester's newsletter.
